Therapeutic Touch Invitational Mentorship Program

July 13-18 (5 days: Friday dinner to Wednesday lunch)

  • Do you want to take your Therapeutic Touch practice to the next level?
  • Would you like to receive individual attention from an experienced TT mentor?
  • The Mentorship Program can do that for you!
  • Participants have said the Program is "rewarding meaningful and powerful."

Developed within a context that implies that mentorship reflects and draws out of each of us our own beauty, strength and wisdom, this TT Invitational Mentorship Program is designed to meet the full range of personal and professional needs that may arise for the participant. This Program has been developed to serve TT practitioners at all levels.

Perhaps you would like to gain more confidence in offering TT, learn more about the nuts and bolts of starting a private practice, or further develop your teaching and mentoring skills. Program content is individualized on the basis of your applications and interests. The learning/teaching environment is a cooperative venture between mentors and students. Our creative and accomplished faculty has extensive experience in the clinical practice, teaching, mentoring and/or research of the TT process. New mentors are selected each year to work with the Facilitator. You will be engaged in TT sessions, centering practice, lectures/seminars, small group discussions, role playing, one-on-one interview with your mentor and exercises to enhance your awareness of energy flow. This program was developed in collaboration with Dr. Dolores Krieger, PhD, RN, co-founder of Therapeutic Touch.

  • This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the New York State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurse's Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Prerequisite: This program is open to those who have taken at least a 12 hour Basic TT course.

The program also accepts participants with extensive TT experience. (Practitioners of 25 years of experience in TT have participated as students in this Mentorship Program to be supported in the further development of their individual goals with TT.) Participants will benefit from study with a seasoned TT mentor, selected by and under the leadership of Shirley Spear Begley, the Program Facilitator. Mentors will be matched with students based upon their applications.

  • Participants will be accepted by application only. Online application form for 2012:  Click here to fill out an application.
