Chokhur: The Turning of the Wheel of Dharma

August 7-9, 2009 - Friday dinner/evening through Sunday lunch

Chokhur means “Turning the Wheel of Dharma”, setting in motion the Truth, Peace, and Happiness that will eventually bring Freedom to the World.
Chokhor is one of the four most important holidays for the Buddhists.
It is the day when Buddha taught the Dharma to the world for the first
time. Lama Pema will be sharing Buddhist Dharma talks along with leading  meditations. At the hoisting of the prayer flags for peace, we will circumambulate the Pumpkin Hollow trails, chanting and bestowing blessings on all sentient beings.  During the weekend there will be demonstrations of Tibetan calligraphy, the printing of prayer flags, and a display of Tibetan Thangkas.

You can also visit www.paldensakya.org for information about Lama Pema Wengdak and the Palden Sakhya Center.
